Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury 2 Prelims Set, WBO Orders Ioka vs. Tanaka | Fight-Size Boxing Update
Here’s your fight-size boxing update for February 6, 2020:
– PBC and Top Rank announced that the Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury 2 card on February 22 will have prelims bouts starting at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1 and ESPNEWS (with ESPNEWS switching to ESPN at 8 p.m.). The two prelim bouts announced are the following:
- Subriel Matias vs. Petros Ananyan
- Amir Imam vs. Javier Molina
– PBC and Top Rank also announced a number of fights that will be on the non-televised portion of the card.
- Rolando Romero vs. Arturs Ahmetovs
- Gabriel Flores Jr. vs. Matt Conway
- Vito Mielnicki Jr. vs. Corey Champion
- Isaac Lowe vs. Alberto Guevara
– The WBO has ordered super flyweight world champion Kazuto Ioka to defend his title against mandatory challenger Kosei Tanaka and both parties have until February 26 to negotiate a deal or else a purse bid will be ordered. If the fight goes to a purse bid, then the minimum bid will be $100,000.

– Matchroom Boxing officially announced that former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker will face Shawndell Winters on the February 29 DAZN card from Frisco, Texas.
– Heavyweight contender Carlos Takam will take on Fabio Maldonado on a Star Boxing card taking place on February 28 in Huntington, New York. The card will be headlined by Cletus Seldin vs. Humberto Martinez.
– The WBC has issued a statement on the sanctions imposed on Ivan Redkach for biting Danny Garcia in their fight back in January by the New York State Athletic Commission.
– PBC will stream the first fight between Wilder and Fury from 2018 on its official YouTube channel on February 7.
