Canelo Alvarez Scores Dominant Decision Victory Over Edgar Berlanga
Canelo Alvarez cruised to a decision victory over Edgar Berlanga on September 14th.
After 12 rounds of fighting, Alvarez won on the scorecards 117-110, 118-109 and 118-109.
Alvarez scored a knockdown in the third round, flooring Berlanga with a left hook.
Alvarez retained his unified super middleweight championship with the victory.

This was the fifth straight decision victory for Canelo. His last victory via knockout came against Caleb Plant in November 2021. He has knocked down his last four opponents.
This was the first loss of Berlanga’s career. He is now 22-1. Alvarez moved to 62–2–2 with the win.
Alvarez proclaimed to be the best fighter in the world after the bout.
