Canelo Alvarez Conference Call Highlights
Canelo Alvarez had plenty to talk about in a recent media call.
Alvarez hosted an international media call to talk about his upcoming fight against WBA “regular” super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding, but Alvarez spoke on several other topics, from Gennady Golovkin to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and more.

Canelo was asked on how he views the Rocky Fielding fight with many people calling it an easy fight for Canelo. Canelo responded by saying no fight is easy and although he has more experience, he’s also the one moving up in weight, not Fielding.

The question of fighting Floyd Mayweather again came up and Canelo said he can’t go lower than 160 meaning that’s the lowest weight a rematch between Canelo and Floyd can be at.

Canelo said Floyd Mayweather’s experience was the deciding factor in their first match. Canelo said he’s a more experienced, complete and better fighter today than when he fought the undefeated Mayweather.

Fightful will have live coverage of Canelo vs. Fielding, set to take place on December 15 at Madison Square Garden. The fight will be streamed exclusively in the United States and in Canada on the DAZN streaming service and is the first in the Mexican star’s record-breaking deal.
