Amir Khan Attacked In Road Rage Incident After Taking Wrong Turn


Former world champion Amir Khan hasn’t been in the ring in more than a year, but that won’t stop him from getting into fights after Khan made a wrong turn while driving.

According to a report from The Daily Mail, British the boxer was attacked and chased through the streets after he made a wrong turn in his custom Range Rover which caused a collision with the driver behind him in his hometown of Bolton, England.

According to a statement from a Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman, confirmed that there was an altercation.

“We were called to reports of road rage incident/assault. It appears the person driving has made a wrong turn and this has angered the person behind them and there’s been an altercation. The driver of the first car was punched. There were no arrests. Anyone with information should contact us,” the statement read.

This incident is similar to one from 2012 incident that involved Khan, his brother Haroon, and his Range Rover. Khan and his brother was able to successfully fend off six men that tried to steal Khan’s Range Rover.

Khan has not fought in more than a year, last losing to Canelo Alvarez when Alvarez knocked Khan out in the sixth round with the WBC middleweight titles on the line. Khan’s last win came in May 2015 when he retained his WBC Silver welterweight title against Chris Algieri. Khan is a former unified world champion as a light-welterweight and Olympic silver medalist as a lightweight in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games.
