AEW Dynamite (4/6) Preview: Samoa Joe Kicks In The Door, Hardys Go Back To Their Roots

It’s Wednesday night, you know what that means!

AEW Dynamite is back end tonight’s episode will feature the debut of Samoa Joe, The Hardys going back to their roots, and a rematch of the only clash between two of wrestling’s greatest tag teams going today for two very prestigious championships.

Here’s everything you need to know before tonight’s episode of Dynamite on TBS

Samoa Joe Is Back And The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Continues

Samoa Joe returned to professional wrestling as part of the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor event on Friday, April 1.

Joe confronted his former young boy, Jay Lethal, who turned heel during the event on Lee Moriarty. Now, Samoa Joe is All Elite and he is taking part in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament his first step will be a qualifying match against Max Caster. While everybody may love The Acclaimed, Samoa Joe is out to prove that he is still pro wrestling and he still can’t be stopped.

Another woman’s qualifier will take place as well as Hikaru Shida go is one-on-one with Julia Hart. Shida is still riding a wave of aggression because of her rivalry with Serena Deeb and Julia Hart hasn’t been herself since she was the victim of poison mist courtesy of Malakai Black

Table For Two (Tag Teams)

The Hardys, Matt, and Jeff are back and this is slated to be their last run as a tag team. Now, they will go back to their roots and compete in a Tag Team Tables Match with The Butcher and The Blade. The Hardy Boyz had the first-ever Tag Team Tables Match back in 2000 against The Dudley Boyz at the Royal Rumble event and now, they are looking to prove that they haven’t lost a step.

Adam Cole Looks To Take Out Christian Cage

Christian Cage and Adam Cole have had an issue ever since Adam arrived in AEW. Tonight, both of these wrestling greats look to finally settle it in the ring as Adam Cole looks to prove that he is the Undisputed best and Christian continues to try and outwork everybody.

FTR vs. The Young Bucks II Is For Twice As Much Gold

It has been over a year since The Young Bucks faced FTR and despite that being a rivalry that was building for years, it only ever resulted in one match. At ROH Supercard of Honor FTR defeated The Briscoes to capture the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship.

After the match, The Young Bucks returned to Ring of Honor and took out Mark and Jay Briscoe, and accepted the challenge of FTR for a match that was originally supposed to only be for the AAA Tag Team Championship but is now for the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship as well.

Who will walk away with the next victory in this rivalry? Will reDRagon have any role in this match since they have issues with both teams? Will MJF try to get involved?

With several outside factors going into this second bout, both teams remain determined to prove their worth and stake their claim atop the tag team mountain.

That’s everything that’s been announced for tonight’s card, here is what is going on elsewhere in AEW.

Jade Cargill has an impending match with Marina Shafir, CM Punk wants to be World Champion, MJF is currently preoccupied with his former bodyguard Wardlow, The Blackpool Combat Club will surely be looking for a fight, and there is no doubt that matches will be made for Rampage as the road to Double or Nothing continues.

Here is the updated lineup for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
