Special Entrance For Drew McIntyre Cut As WWE ‘Couldn’t Plan It In Enough Time’

Drew McIntyre apparently had a special entrance cut from his WrestleMania 38 moment.

Drew McIntyre participated in the second match on WrestleMania 38 Saturday against Happy Corbin. In that match, he would become the first person to ever kick out of the End of Days finisher. it was another great moment for McIntyre who spent the last two years competing for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. However, part of the pageantry of WrestleMania is special entrances for superstars.

WrestleMania Saturday featured special entrances for the likes of Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and the returning Cody Rhodes, but there was also a special entrance apparently set for Drew McIntyre.

Mike J Wilson, on Instagram, shared a photo of a group of Kilted Warriors backstage that, according to the caption, was supposed to be a part of a special entrance for Drew McIntyre that was cut from the show.

Sean Stark, who was also part of the entrance, added extra confirmation on what was planned to go down. 

This was not the only thing cut from the show last night as The New Day vs. Ridge Holland and Sheamus was also cut for time and moved to the second night of WrestleMania 38. Learn more about that here.

Drew McIntyre did have another moment where he cut the ring ropes with his sword, Angela. In a WWE digital exclusive, he explains why he chose to do that.

“A lot of people have been saying I don’t know if that thing’s real, he’s always swinging it around. He’s never gonna do any damage. Madcap tried to take away my WrestleMania moment after I defeated Corbin, and I took out those ropes to prove that if you get too close to old Drew McIntyre, Angela is gonna taste some action, happy Mania.”
