New NXT North American Champion Crowned At NXT Stand And Deliver 2022
Carmelo Hayes’ reign with the North American Championship has come to an end.
In the lead-up to Stand & Deliver, Hayes boated about defeating everyone who has stepped up to him and wanting a new challenge. As a result, he agreed to defend his belt at the April 2 event in a Ladder Match against four other men; Grayson Waller, Cameron Grimes, Solo Sikoa, and Santos Escobar.
The match opened the main card of Stand And Deliver and was action-packed from start to finish. In the end, however, it was Cameron Grimes who would scale the ladder and capture the North American Championship for the first time in his career. Grimes had been dedicating this performance to his late father.

Hayes held the belt for 172 days, winning it back on the October 12, 2021, episode of NXT 2.0.
