WWE RAW Results (3/28/22): Brock Lesnar & Roman Reigns Collide Ahead of WrestleMania + More!

We’ll be bringing you full, fight-by-fight results of every match on the card as we’re just five days away from night one of WrestleMania 38!

The show begins and our commentary team of special guest Michael Cole alongside the normal Monday night crew of Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton and the hometown boy Corey Graves welcome us to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as we’re just five days away from night one of WrestleMania 38. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar’s music hits, the crowd goes ballistic and here we go! While Lesnar makes his way down to the ring, we see a video package of Lesnar’s confrontation with Universal Champion Roman Reigns from this past Friday night’s edition of SmackDown. Back in the ring and Lesnar says over the past 20 years, the ‘loudmouth’ Paul Heyman always spoke for him but he’s always wanted to say ‘WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT RAW!’. Lesnar says that sucked but what he doesn’t suck at, is handing out ‘country ass kickings’. Lesnar says he’s about to spoil his game plan but this Sunday, he and Roman Reigns are going to take a trip down memory lane, which included a stop to Suplex City before Roman’s introduced to the ‘ole Beast of Broadway then they’ll hit the carnival for a nice ride on the F5. The crowd pours down ‘WHAT?!’ chants and says Steve Austin will be there this weekend too and while Austin’s an ass kicker, he didn’t kick his. Lesnar says after their match, the WWE Title and the Universal Title are going to have a baby, the unified title, which he [Lesnar] gets full custody of. Lesnar says this Sunday, there’s no more running and he’ll [Lesnar] stand over Reigns with two titles and become the new, reigning, defending, unified World Heavyweight Champion of the world…BRRRRROCK LESNARRRRR! Lesnar drops the mic and heads out. Commentary hypes up Reigns’ appearance later on in tonight’s show before running down the rest of tonight’s card, The Miz then makes his way down to the ring and we head to a commercial break.

— Back from the break and The Miz is in the ring. Miz introduces Logan Paul, Logan makes his way down to the ring donning Rey Mysterio’s mask that Miz stole from Rey on last week’s show. Rey and Dominik Mysterio then make their way down. Logan baits Dominik into attacking him and the referee ejects Dominik from ringside before Rey faces Miz, which is next after the break.

The Miz (with Logan Paul) vs. Rey Mysterio

Back from the break, Miz is on control on the top rope, Rey knocks him back, nails him with a diving kick, Miz with a sunset flip, Rey with a kick to the chest and then chirps at Logan Paul at ringside. Miz goes for a spring-board power-bomb but Rey rolls him up and gets the win!

Winner – Rey Mysterio

After the match, Dominik Mysterio comes back down and tosses Logan into the ring, he and Rey set Logan up for the double-619 but Logan slides out of the ring. Rey snatches his mask off Logan’s head and he and Dominik mail Miz with a double-619 before Dominik goes up top and plants The Miz with a splash, Rey follows suit and The Mysterios celebrate while Logan looks on in dismay at ringside.

Commentary announces that we’ll hear about Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania fate when he visited Vince McMahon’s office earlier today, after the break.

Back from the break, we see a vignette hyping up Veer’s re-debut, next Monday night. We then see Seth Rollins’ visit to Vince McMahon’s office that was posted to the company’s social media accounts earlier today. McMahon says that if Rollins wanted a spot at WrestleMania, all he had to do was ask. McMahon tells Rollins that he’ll have a match at WrestleMania, a spot that’s deserved of a WrestleMania main event…but Rollins won’t know his opponent until he’s in the ring at WrestleMania.

Back to the ring, Omos makes his way down to the ring and he’ll face the Viking Raiders after the break.

Omos vs. Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) — 2-on-1 Handicap Match

Erik starts this one off and unloads strikes to the big man but immediately gets launched out of the ring. Ivar goes to check on Erik and he’s done. This one is over via countout.

Winner – Omos (via countout)

After the match, Ivar tries to attack Omos but is quickly knocked off the apron, Omos tells the referee to raise his hand in victory, to which he obliges. Kevin Patrick comes down and asks Omos about any updates on his WrestleMania status. Omos says nobody can touch him and he’s undefeated. Kevin says surely there’s someone that can fight him at WrestleMania and Bobby Lashley’s music hits! The former WWE Champion makes his way down to the ring and it appears as if we have a true hoss fight. Lashley gets in the ring and he and Omos stare each other down. Lashley gazes at the WrestleMania sign, Omos tosses him to the corner, Lashley bounced off Omos with a shoulder block, Omos tosses him to another corner, Lashley has another shoulder block turned aside but Lashley knocks Omos down with a third attempt. Omos rolls out of the ring, the crowd reigns down ‘Bobby! Bobby! Bobby!’ chants, Lashley points to the WrestleMania sign and Omos seemingly accepts the challenge! Michael Cole announces that we’ll hear from Universal Champion Roman Reigns after the break.

Back from the break and we see Akira Tozawa backstage, and he’s seemingly about to propose to Tamina but Tamina grabs him off his knee and says yes! We then see R-Truth peaking around the corner with binoculars and says that it gives him an idea before saying ‘with the power invested in me’ and we cut back to the ring.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns, alongside Paul Heyman and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Jimmy and Jey Uso are all making their way down to the ring. Reigns tells Pittsburgh to acknowledge him. Reigns says he originally was going to come out there and talk about GOD Mode and mention how he used to run Monday Night RAW before FOX ‘begged’ him to come and ‘save’ SmackDown. Reigns tells the crowd to stop with the ‘WHAT?!’ chants and says he’ll smash everyone jsut like he’d smash Steve Austin and just like how he’s about to do the same to Brock Lesnar. Reigns says he’s done everything…except beat Lesnar at WrestleMania, which pisses him off. The crowd pours in the ‘Suplex City!’ chants, Reigns looks agitated and says it’s time to talk about Brock. Reigns says it bothers him that just a few weeks ago it was personal to Brock and in 2018, he [Lesnar] busted his [Reigns] head open at WrestleMania 34 and Lesnar smashed his face to the point where his kids didn’t even recognize him, his wife didn’t want him in the business anymore and his family was disappointed in him but now all of a sudden it’s just a game to Lesnar, which is fine because The Tribal Chief changed the game. Reigns says they changed the game and now he’s about to take everything from him. Reigns says he already took Lesnar’s advocate and made him into a Wiseman and at Madison Square Garden, he took his blood and this Sunday at WrestleMania, he finishes the job and takes his title. Reigns says this Sunday, he’s going to make it personal, because it’s always been personal to him [Reigns]. Reigns drops the mic, he and The Usos put the 1s in the air and commentary hypes up Reigns and Lesnar’s match for this Sunday.

We then see a video package highlighting the events in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship picture from the past week, Sasha Banks, Naomi, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan make their way down to the ring and they’ll face Carmella, Queen Zelina, Shayna Baszler and Natalya after the break.

Sasha Banks, Naomi, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan vs. Carmella, Queen Zelina, Shayna Baszler & Natalya

Morgan and Natalya start this one off. Natalya tosses Morgan down, Morgan comes back and tosses Natalaya into the corner, makes the tag to Ripley and Ripley scoops and slams Natalya. Rhea makes the tag to Naomi, Natalya takes control, sends Naomi to the opposite corner and makes the tag to Zelina. Naomi knocks Zelina back, sends Zelina face-first into the middle turnbuckle, makes the tag to Banks and she and Banks drill Zelina with a double-kick, Banks goes for the cover, Carmella breaks it up, everyone interferes one-by-one, Carmella drills Ripley with a super-kick, Banks looks for the Bank Statement, Zelina drags her out of the ring, tosses her into the barricade and nails Banks with a knee to the chest before we head to a commercial break. Back from the break and Banks is working over Carmella. Both take each other out, Banks crawls to the corner to make the tag, Natalya, Baszler and Zelina knock Rhea off the apron, Baszler’s tagged-in by Carmella, Baszler knocks Naomi off the apron, Banks tosses Baszler to the corner, Baszler grand a leg and drags Banks to the corner, Natalya makes the self-tag, Zelina tags herself in, tosses Natalya out, goes for the cover, Banks counters and makes the tag to Naomi, who kicks Zelina, Naomi makes the tag to Morgan, who also lands a kick before making the tag to Ripley, who plants Zelina with Riptide to get the 1-2-3 and the win!

Winners – Sasha Banks, Naomi, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan

We then see a video package of Kevin Owens’ antics from last week, coming out dressed as and mimicking ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. Commentary hypes up Austin’s appearance on The KO Show during night one of WrestleMania 38, this Saturday and we head to a commercial break.

Back from the break and we’re shown a video package highlighting the career of WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, which features some words from the likes of Triple H, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle and Stephanie McMahon. Kevin Owens is in the ring laughing at the video package. Owens says he heard the people who say he was mocking Austin, but says those are lies. Owens says he was simply paying homage to a Hall of Famer that everyone loves. Owens says he knows the fans are ecstatic that Austin’s returning at WrestleMania, Owens calls The KO Show the true main event of WrestleMania but last week he did everyone a favor because that was the last time you’ll see anything close to the ‘old’ Stone Cold. Owes says Austin’s been gone for almost 20 years and the old Austin’s never coming back and at WrestleMania, we’ll see Steve Austin, not Stone Cold. Owens says Austin’s drank himself into ‘oblivion’ for 19 years and has to ‘beg’ people to come on his ‘little’ podcast to stay relevant and reminisce about the old days. Owens says Austin isn’t coming to pick a fight with him because he [Austin] knows what would happen if he picked a fight with Kevin Owens and he’s going to do something special for Austin and share a ‘nasty’ beer with him on Saturday night. Owens says that’s the bottom line because KO said so before dropping the mic and exiting. We then see a graphic making Omos vs. Bobby Lashley official for WrestleMania Sunday and it’s announced that Intercontinental Champion Ricochet will face Austin Theory in a non-title match after the break.

Ricochet vs. Austin Theory

Ricochet gets going early with a spring-board clothesline before nailing Theory with a standing Shooting Star Press and goes for the cover but Theory lifts the shoulders at two. Ricochet goes up top, Theory follows him up and tosses him to the mat and lands the ATL for the win!

Winner – Austin Theory

After the match, Theory takes a selfie with Ricochet and exits. Commentary hyped up the return of Bianca Belair for later tonight and we head to a commercial break.

Back from the break and we see a highlight package honoring the career of the newly-retired Triple H.

Former RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair makes her way down to the ring. While Bianca makes the walk, we see video footage of Becky Lynch’s attack on her from a few weeks back that caused Bianca to suffer a throat injury. Back to the ring and Bianca says she shouldn’t even be talking right now due to the aforementioned injury but she feels she really needs to address Becky Lynch. Bianca recalls how Becky said that she’d [Becky] do anything to keep the title, mentioning that two weeks ago, she saw exactly how far Becky was willing to go. Bianca says her accomplishments threaten Becky and says that she’s [Bianca] back like she never left and this Saturday, she’s taking her [Bianca] title back and says there’s not a ‘damn thing’ Becky can do about it. RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch’s music hits, Becky’s not there but she pops up behind Bianca and the brawl ensues. Becky clobbers Bianca with a steel chair and grabs a pair of scissors but Bianca fends the champion off and ends up cutting off some of Becky’s hair and the EST. of WWE stands tall over the RAW Women’s Champion just 5 days out from their title match.

Commentary runs down this weekend’s WrestleMania 38 card and it’s announced that Drew McIntyre will face Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss after we head to a commercial break.

Back from the break, RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is furious walking around backstage and Sarah Schreiber catches up with her. Becky’s seething whilst holding some of her hair, she calls Bianca Belair a bitch and walks off.

Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss — 2-on-1 Handicap Match

McIntyre with a kick to start, Corbin tosses McIntyre into the corner, McIntyre shoves Corbin back, Corbin rolls out, gets back in and makes the tag to Moss. McIntyre lays out Moss, tosses him into the corner and then another. McIntyre plants Moss with a suplex then bud patented kip-up. McIntyre asks for Corbin to tag himself in, Corbin jumps off the apron and points to the WrestleMania 38 sign and exits. Moss struggles to his feet and eats a claymore and McIntyre gets the win!

Winner – Drew McIntyre

After the match, Corbin runs back down and attacks McIntyre. Corbin plants McIntyre with End of Days and steals McIntyre’s sword before leaving.

We then see footage of the back-and-forth between Edge and AJ Styles from the past few weeks. We then cut backstage where Edge says he had a choice to make, last week, attack Rollins with a chair and beat him at WrestleMania or let fate take its course. Edge says he realizes that he and Styles need each other for a few reasons, namely he [Edge] needed Styles to pull off the veil of mediocrity and to remind himself that he’s an era-defining superstar. Edge says Styles needs him [Edge] because he needed to become who he is today. Edge says he and Styles will push each other to levels unseen before at WrestleMania but only he [Edge] will keep soaring while Styles will stay right where he is today. Edge laughs maniacally and we head to a commercial break.

— Back from the break and Sarah Schreiber’s backstage with AJ Styles. Sarah asks AJ about his thoughts after hearing what Edge just had to say. AJ says Edge just used words to justify yet another cheap shot. AJ says Edge has tried to change up his look and his music to get in his [AJ] head and mission accomplished for Edge. AJ says they both want to destroy each other but when he [AJ] beats Edge at WrestleMania, it’ll be a feeling that Edge has never felt before. AJ exits and we head back to the ring area where it’s time for our main event of the evening.

RK-Bro (Randy Orton & Riddle) vs. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)

Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs join commentary for the main event. Orton and Jimmy start this one off. Orton sends Jimmy to the corner, Orton comes back with a rake of the eyes, Riddle sneaks in for the double-team, Jey comes in and evens the numbers but both Usos are dumped out of the ring by Riddle and Orton. Jey and Jimmy argue with Nakamura and Boogs at ringside, Orton and Riddle use the distraction to attack The Usos on the outside, Both Orton and Riddle toss an Uso on the announce table and we head to a commercial break. Back from the break and Jimmy has Orton in the corner, Orton fights back and nails Jimmy with a running clothesline, Riddle’s tagged-in and lays Jimmy out with a kick before planting him with a slam. Jimmy fights back, Usos with a double-team, Jimmy drills Riddle with a kick, Jey sneaks in a few shots behind the referee’s back, Jet’s tagged-in, Jimmy now with a few cheap shots. Jey works over Riddle, who counters with a kick, then a slam, Riddle knocks Jimmy off the apron, but Jimmy slides Riddle out of the ring and tosses him into the barricade as we cut to another commercial break. Back from the break and Jey’s working over Riddle in the corner, Riddle fires back with some kicks, both Riddle and Jey struggle to their corners but they finally make the tags to Orton and Jimmy, respectively, Orton lays Jimmy out, hits his patented scoop-slam then goes for the cover but Jey breaks it up, Jimmy rolls Orton up, Orton kicks out, lands another slam, Orton lined him up for the RKO but Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of Street Profits come out of nowhere and lay out Orton to cause a DQ!

Winners – RK-Bro (via DQ)

After the match, everyone’s brawling, Boogs and Nakamura take control, Boogs and Jimmy fight up the entrance ramp and out. Ford and Dawkins have Orton isolated in the ring, Riddle makes the save and plants Dawkins with an RKO, Ford gets hit with an RKO from Orton, the fans chant for one more RKO, to which Orton obliges and RK-Bro celebrate as the show goes off-the-air.
