NJPW New Japan Cup 2022 Winner Crowned

NJPW crowns its 2022 New Japan Cup Champion. 

Zack Sabre Jr won the 2022 New Japan Cup, defeating Tetsuya Naito in the finals on March 27. ZSJ finished off Naito with a penalty kick followed by a second Zack Driver. 

This marks the second time ZSJ has won the New Japan Cup. He previously won in 2018. With this victory ZSJ will earn a future shot at Kazuchika Okada and the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. He mentioned coming after the title in his post-match promo.

ZSJ defeated  Ryohei Oiwa, Douki, Great-O-Khan, Will Ospreay, and Shingo Takagi during his run to the finals before besting Naito.
