Middleweight Bout Set For UFC 212
A middleweight division encounter has been added to UFC 212 as Paulo Borrachinha takes on Oluwale Bamgbose.
Borrachinha (9-0-0) has already competed once under the UFC banner, which was a TKO victory over Garreth McClellan at UFC Fight Night 106. Borrachinha also competed three times under the Jungle Fight banner, defeating the trio of Bruno Assis, Eduardo Ramon and Andriano Silverio Balby De Araujo. Borrachinha has fought a total of nine times as a pro and none of those fights have gone past the opening round.
Bamgbose (6-2-0) has won just one of three fights thus far in UFC competition, defeating Daniel Sarafian, while suffering defeats to Uriah Hall and Cezar Ferreira. Bamgbose also fought a total of five times in the Ring Of Combat promotion, with all of those fights ending in the first round. Bamgbose has only seen just one of his eight bouts go the distance, which was a loss to the aforementioned Cezar Ferreira at UFC On Fox 19.
UFC 212 takes place on Saturday, June 3 from the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Jose Aldo and Max Holloway headlining. Fightful will provide live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
