Kofi Kingston: I Don’t Know What I’m Doing At WrestleMania, Hopefully Xavier Woods Will Be Back
Kofi Kingston looks ahead to WrestleMania.
Kofi Kingston, like many of the WWE superstars on the main roster, currently does not know what he will be doing at WrestleMania. Xavier Woods has been sidelined for several weeks and Big E recently suffered a broken neck on the March 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Speaking to Bart Winkler, Kingston provided an update on Big E Langston, echoing that no surgery is needed and stating that it is just a matter of rest and recovery for the former WWE champion.
“Yeah, man, with regard to E, for those who don’t know, he actually broke his neck a couple of weeks ago. And luckily, you know, I say, luckily, but, you know, he fractured his C1 and C6 and it wasn’t any worse than that. He didn’t have any spinal cord damage, he didn’t have any misalignment. He is moving around pretty well, all things considered. and it’s now just a matter of rest and recovery, he will not be available for WrestleMania, for sure, I can guarantee you that,” said Kofi.
As far as what he will be doing this year at Wrestlemania, Kofi Kingston is hopeful that Xavier Woods will be ready to potentially team with him at this year’s event.
“But with regards to what I’m going to be doing at WrestleMania, I don’t know, I’m not sure,” Kingston continued. “Hopefully, Woods will be back and we can mix it up with some of these tag teams out there. But everything is up in the air, you never know what is going to happen leading up to WrestleMania, that’s why it’s so exciting right now because we really just don’t know.”
Xavier Woods did return at a WWE house show immediately following Big E’s broken neck injury. Woods had previously been sidelined, himself, with a Plantaris injury. Learn more about that at this link.
Currently, Jimmy and Jey Uso are scheduled to defend their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogz. You can check out the full card for WrestleMania here.
