Finn Balor Thinks Irish Wrestling Is In Good Standing, Looks Forward To Returning To Ireland With WWE

Finn Balor is ready to return to Ireland.

Balor was supposed to participate in NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin in June 2020 but the event was postponed and eventually canceled due to COVID.

WWE has begun traveling overseas again and Balor is hoping for a return to Ireland.

“Any time the opportunity comes to wrestle in Ireland, obviously, I am always looking forward to, but the idea of one of our larger TV events going there was an absolute dream,” Balor told the Irish Sun. “That was something I was super excited about before it got postponed, and then postponed again, and then eventually cancelled, and hopefully, we can get back to a climate and world where we can start running more lucrative shows out there in Ireland and England.”

Over The Top Wrestling, the largest promotion in Ireland, has started running shows again with its annual ScrapperMania event taking place in March.

Speaking about the state of Irish wrestling, Balor said, “I think it has a better standing than it has ever had in the past. I know it took a big hit during Covid, but I know OTT is back up and running and had a big show last weekend and it was very successful.”

Balor is the reigning WWE United States Champion and is currently feuding with Damian Priest on WWE Raw.

Figthful will have live coverage of WWE Raw beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Monday.
