Drew McIntyre On Facing Tyson Fury: I Won’t Stop Talking About It Until It Happens
Drew McIntyre is keen on facing Tyson Fury in a WWE ring.
Drew McIntyre has been on a rampage since returning to WWE in 2017. The Scottish Warrior has had no shortage of historic moments since his return, whether it was beating Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 or having a dominant run with the NXT Championship. McIntyre is known for creating storyline buzz during his interviews, especially with world-class boxer Tyson Fury.
In a new interview with Metro UK, McIntyre reiterated his desire to get Fury back in a WWE ring.
“The only way we’re gonna make this thing happen is with McIntyre and Fury. I will not shut up about it until he frickin’ happens. Trust me, nobody is waiting for it more than me!”
McIntyre was also happy that his interest in having a match with the WBC Heavyweight Champion is being recognized.
“I’ve been talking about it for years but people started listening to me finally over the past two! I got the [WWE Title], so I could finally get people to listen to me,” he laughed.
Fury has gone on record before and guaranteed a return a return to WWE one day. According to Fury, he was set to have a match with Drew McIntyre at a United Kingdom pay-per-view – but the COVID-19 pandemic halted those plans.
