Miro Signs Long-Term Contract Extension With AEW

All Elite Wrestling is hanging on to a major talent for several more years.

Fightful Select has learned that AEW has re-signed Miro to a four-year extension, that will keep him with the company until at least the start of 2026. We’re told that the deal was agreed upon late last year, but didn’t get signed for a little while after that.

In what was a surprise, we also learned that Miro’s original AEW deal would have been set to expire in the spring of 2022. Considering that he debuted for the company back in September 2020 and the rounded dates of many contracts, the length of the deal has is somewhat of a rarity compared to others. Miro hasn’t wrestled since Full Gear against Bryan Danielson, and was dealing with a hamstring injury for a while. However, we’ve been told that he’s been good to return for quite a while.

Miro captured the TNT Championship in 2021, but lost it to Sammy Guevara in September. Since then, his only matches have been the aforementioned AEW Title Eliminator tournament that he wasn’t originally scheduled for.
