Updates On Some Of The Last ROH Deals, News On New Regime
Fightful has learned that some of the former ROH talent in IMPACT Wrestling haven’t signed with the company yet. We’d heard that a couple of talent were still technically under ROH deals when they came into the company and had not officially signed deals yet. Matt Taven was one of the rumored names, though attempts to reach out to him did not yield a comment on the matter. We’ve also reached out to Mike Bennett on the matter. PCO was signed months ago, but his ROH deal was already up at the end of November
In addition, EC3 is a free agent.
Many of Ring of Honor’s contracts had expired on December 31 when the company went on hiatus, however, several extended well past that point. Recently, Fightful identified Sledge (February 28) and Ian Riccaboni (March 31) as a couple of those. We’ve since learned that EC3’s deal is up. Many had questioned the nature of his deal and when it would expire, considering deals are usually done on an annual or several year basis, and his contract was signed in February 2021.
EC3 worked for both Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling after his 2020 WWE release, but ended up opting to sign a contract with ROH. The ROH Final Battle show saw him bring our Adam Scherr (Braun Strowman), Westin (Wesley) Blake and Fodder to promote his series of Control Your Narrative events.
To wrap things up, ROH PR Marc Kruskol will be finishing up with the company on April 10. He confirmed to Fightful he was let go by the new ROH regime.
As far as people with the company, Ian Riccaboni still remains. Quinn McKay’s contract also extended past 2021, but she’s now signed with WWE.
