Women’s Bout Changed On 3/11 WWE Smackdown
A singles bout is now a tag team bout.
WWE announced that Queen Zelina & Carmella will take on Sasha Banks & Naomi in tag team action on Friday’s WWE SmackDown. The bout was originally announced as being Banks vs. Zelina.
The women’s tag team match was originally set for WrestleMania 38 with the Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line, but changed with Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan being added to the match.
Naomi & Sasha Banks joined forces on the Feb. 25 edition of SmackDown and declared they’d become the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania. In response, the royal and most beautiful titleholders Queen Zelina & Carmella did not hesitate to accept the challenge. Nevertheless, the Road the WrestleMania has many twists and turns. Case-in-point, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan propelled themselves into the looming title match with a victory over the outspoken titleholders on Raw, transforming the showdown on The Grandest Stage of Them All into a Triple Threat Match.
After beating the self-proclaimed “Most Beautiful Woman in all of WWE” last week, Naomi joins her new tag team partner The Boss to take on the Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina & Carmella in a Championship Contenders’ Match ahead of their Triple Threat Match on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Don’t miss SmackDown, tonight at 8/7 C on FOX.
