Joey Janela Superkicks X-Pac After He Announces Retirement At GCW Welcome To Heartbreak
He’s a bad, bad boy.
At GCW Welcome to Heartbreak, X-Pac (Sean Waltman) teamed up with Joey Janela to take on Matt Cardona and Brian Myers. This was Waltman’s first match since April 2019 and his first time partnering with Janela since 2015 when they were the JCW Tag Team Champions.
After numerous near-falls for both teams, the match would come to an end after X-Pac hit Myers with the X-Factor through a door. During his post-match speech, Waltman thanked GCW and the fans for welcoming him back, but said “I’ll be the first to call it, this was my last match.” After hugging a visibly distraught Janela and preparing to leave the ring, X-Pac was blindsided by his partner, who turned around and laid him out with a Superkick.
X-Pac tried to get up but The Bad Boy just kept shoving him to the ground. Garbage proceeded to rain down upon Janela as he basked in the boos. Whether X-Pac is indeed calling it a career or if he and Janela are headed for a one-on-one showdown remains to be seen. Fightful will, as always, keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.
