First Team Advances In 2022 Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic
The Women’s Dusty Cup has begun!
On February 22, 2022, the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic kicked off with a match that saw Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray take on Lash Legend and Amari Miller.
Prior to the match, Mandy Rose gave an interview where she said that she commends Io and KLR for realizing that they’ll never get the Women’s Championship while she’s holding the title. That said, if they think they’re going to win the tournament and then beat Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, Toxic Attraction is predicting they come up short.
In a relatively quick bout, Ray and Shirai were able to pick up the win and advance to the semi-finals. They will face the winner of the Ivy Nile/Tatum Paxley vs. Kayden Carter/Kacy Catanzaro bout.
