Backstage Reaction To Madcap Moss’ Scary Spot At WWE Elimination Chamber 2022
The Elimination Chamber event had some memorable moments, and a scary one as well.
During the Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss match, there was a scary incident where Madcap Moss landed on the top of his head during an inverted Alabamaslam. He would continue the match. The spot occurred when Moss tucked his chin on a spot that he was supposed to take flat. There was no heat on either wrestler. Those we spoke to said that Drew McIntyre is well regarded for being a safe worker, and was very concerned for Moss. Those that we heard back from could tell it wasn’t an error on his part.
Moss is said to have been fine, and assured the referee, Happy Corbin and Drew McIntyre all during the match that he was okay. Backstage he didn’t even seem shaken up, and responded to numerous wrestlers and staff that reached out to him to confirm his condition. Moss was also apologizing to Vince McMahon, Drew McIntyre and agents for the slip up as they all went over the move.
The Happy Corbin spot where he pulled Moss out of the way was planned ahead of time, a fortunate placement after he landed on his head. In the Gorilla position we were told there was a lot of concern initially, then when it was confirmed Moss was okay, quick calls for replays.
