Report: NXT: Level Up To Replace 205 Live
205 Live has reportedly been scrapped.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports WWE has decided to scrap 205 Live and won’t be taping a new episode ahead of NXT Vengeance Day. Instead, WWE will tape the first episode of NXT: Level Up. The episode will reportedly run for 60 minutes.
WWE has yet to confirm the news.
205 Live airs at 10 p.m. ET on Peacock following WWE SmackDown with episodes taped ahead of NXT on Tuesdays.
205 Live originally began as a show to feature the cruiserweight division, but the weight limit on the show had been done away with in recent months and the NXT Cruiserweight Championship merged with the NXT North American Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil with Carmelo Hayes defeated Roderick Strong.
WWE filed to trademark NXT: Level Up on February 9.
Fightful will update fans on the status of 205 Live and NXT: Level Up as more is known.
Fightful will have live coverage of NXT Vengeance Day beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
