Stephen Thompson Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

UFC Welterweight Title challenger Stephen Thompson underwent surgery recently to fix a torn meniscus in his right knee.

Thompson took to Instagram to document his procedure, with the first post being a pre-surgery Thompson:

Following his operation, the fighter posted a second time to tell fans that everything was a success:

It has been a few weeks since Thompson lost a decision to UFC Welterweight Title holder Tyron Woodley at UFC 209. However, the challenger insists that if he were given a third opportunity to compete against Woodley, there would be a new welterweight kingpin.
