NXT Women’s Championship Match Added To 2/8 NXT 2.0
The NXT Women’s Championship will be defended one week before Vengeance Day.
On February 1, Kay Lee Ray came to the ring and interrupted a Toxic Attraction promo. With a baseball bat in her hand, the former NXT UK Women’s Champion demanded a title match against Mandy Rose. Unfazed by the insults being hurled her way, Rose declined Ray’s challenge and touted her own physical appearance.
A few minutes later, Toxic Attraction were seen leaving the Performance Center, but unlike Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin, Mandy Rose was unable to get into the vehicle. Kay Lee Ray then revealed herself to be in the driver’s seat and drove away with the Tag Champions screaming for help.
Kay Lee Ray would return to the building later in the night and chased Mandy Rose throughout the backstage area. They would eventually find their way to the ring following the main event where Mandy finally agreed to give Kay Lee Ray her title shot. Not prepared to wait until Vengeance Day, Ray requested the match be next week. Tired of running, Mandy Rose accepted but was thanked with a superkick to end the show.
