Report: Roderick Strong Backstage At 1/21 WWE SmackDown
A former NXT Cruiserweight is backstage at WWE SmackDown.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that Roderick Strong is backstage for Friday’s WWE SmackDown.
It is unknown if Strong will appear on television. PWInsider reports that he is slated to wrestle a dark match.
NXT stars Pete Dunne and Tommaso Ciampa have wrestled on recent episodes of WWE Main Event, which is taped before WWE Raw.
Strong competed on Tuesday’s NXT, losing to WALTER, who is now going by Gunther. Strong’s Diamond Mine teammates The Creed Brother (Julius & Brutus Creed) brawled with Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) after the bout.
Strong lost a Unification match to Carmelo Hayes at NXT New Year’s Evil where the NXT Cruiserweight and North American Titles were on the line.
