Wardlow Celebrates His Birthday By Spending An Extra Hour In The Gym
Wardlow is all about the training.
The “War Dog” celebrated his birthday on January 19 the only way Wardlow knows how to celebrate.
“By spending an extra hour in the gym,” he told Busted Open Radio when asked how he celebrated his birthday.
He then noted that he treated himself to some extra snacks at the AEW catering table since his birthday coincide with a taping of AEW Dynamite.
Wardlow said being in the gym is the highlight of his day and when he is at peace and at his happiest.
“I truly, 100% believe in myself and I believe I can accomplish great things in this company. That, a long with my focus. In a recent interview, I was asked what a normal day is for me. It made me realize that, it might be a little bit of a boring life for most people, but my whole day revolves around physical activity and training. That’s really it. I don’t do anything else. My whole life revolves around bettering myself for pro wrestling. All day, every day, that’s what my focus is. I know a lot of these guys have other interests. They do their video games and their podcasts. Some guys like to sing or our in a band. That’s amazing and I want to learn how to do some other things, but I don’t have multiple passions. I don’t wake up and go, ‘okay, I have to get some time on the drums or guitar or video games.’ My only passion is this. All my eggs are in one basket,” he said.
Wardlow competed on the January 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, losing to CM Punk.
AEW is set to be in Wardlow’s hometown of Cleveland for Beach Break on January 26. Wardlow promises that is when he will have his real birthday celebration. You can find results from past AEW events at Fightful’s results section.
