Solo Sikoa Shows Off Burns, LA Knight Gets Served, Sarray Returns Soon, And More | NXT Fight Size

Here is your post-NXT fight size update for Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

– NXT began with Grayson Waller slapping a restraining order on LA Knight. The veteran superstar wasn’t phased, however, as he brought out a returning Dexter Lumis to face Waller. The match was ultimately won by Waller after Saurav made a surprise appearance, helping Waller earn the victory.

– The first match of the 2022 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic saw the Creed Brothers pick up the victory over Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs.

– After having his hair shaved off by Cameron Grimes, Duke Hudson made his return to NXT TV, attacking Dante Chen in his return match following an injury.

– Santos Escobar confronted Bron Breakker backstage and, in no uncertain terms, told the NXT Champion that he is gunning for his title.

– Tony D’Angelo’s memorial for Pete Dunne turned into him stating his intention to challenge for the North American Championship. After hearing from Carmelo Hayes and fellow title hopeful Cameron Grimes, it was decided that Tony and Cameron would face off next week in a number one contender’s match. The segment ended with Grimes smashing Dunne’s photo over D’Angelo’s head.

– Thanks to a distraction from Mandy Rose, Ivy Nile was able to pick up a win over Kay Lee Ray. Rose and the rest of Toxic Attraction beat down KLR after the bell but were chased away by Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta. The two sides will face off in a 6-woman tag team match next week.

– Tonight it was announced that Sarray would be returning to NXT soon.

– Edris Enofe and Malik Blade defeated Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza to advance to the second round of the 2022 Dusty Cup. Santos Escobar tried to help his Legado del Fantasma brothers, but Bron Breakker came out and pulled Escobar away, allowing Blade and Enofe to pick up the win.

– After having a fireball thrown in his face last week, Solo Sikoa wants revenge on Boa and will face him in a falls count anywhere match next week.

– Cora Jade wants to team up with Raquel Gonzalez in the Dusty Cup but the former NXT Women’s Champion doesn’t seem thrilled with the idea as she still has her sights set on Mandy Rose.

– In the main event, WALTER defeated Roderick Strong. After the bell, he got on the mic and said, “The winner of this match is Gunther,” though it is unclear what exactly he meant. The other two members of Imperium then came out and helped him beat up Strong, but the Creed Brothers came to his aid. The two factions brawled as the show went off the air.
