Britt Baker Says She Finds It Hard To Trust WWE, Explains Why She Wasn’t Interested In Signing There

Britt Baker further explains her disinterest in WWE.

Britt Baker is the face of the AEW women’s division and was the first woman signed to that company.

Currently, she is the Women’s World Champion and one of the pillars of AEW. In the past, Britt Baker has admitted that WWE has shown interest in her but the feeling was not mutual. Now, she’s expanding on why exactly that is.

In a new interview with Inside The Ropes, Britt Baker says that, unfortunately, she doesn’t feel that WWE is trustworthy at this time and says it is difficult to gauge the authenticity of everything that the company says.

“They definitely expressed interest—unfortunately, I’ve got to pick and choose how I say this—but I just feel like you can’t trust anything with that company, whereas at AEW, I’ve never been promised anything that didn’t follow through.

“So it’s something that, unfortunately, it’s sad that it comes down to that, that it makes a company not really desirable because you can’t trust anything they say. I know business is business, and I understand totally that’s what it is, but as a wrestler, business is business as well.”

Britt Baker recently spoke about WWE releasing Toni storm saying that Toni storm is a name she wants to get in the ring with relatively soon. Learn more here.

Baker will be in action alongside her boyfriend, former NXT Champion, Adam Cole on the next episode of AEW Dynamite. We will have live coverage beginning on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
