Bron Breakker Celebrates With Rick Steiner, Mandy Rose Arrives In A Helicopter | NXT Fight Size


Here is your post-NXT fight size update for Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

– In the opening bout of the night, Carmelo Hayes defeated Roderick Strong to become the Unified NXT North American Champion.

NXT announced that the Dusty Cup is coming back. The men’s tournament is set to begin in two weeks, while the women’s tournament will commence in February.

– AJ Styles came to New Year’s Evil ready to fight Grayson Waller, but the young Superstar turned the offer down, opting to headline next week’s episode of NXT instead. He then tried to cheap-shot AJ, but the Phenomenal One saw it coming and countered, sending Waller scurrying to the back.

– Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell were looking for a partner to face Kacy Catanzaro, Kayden Carter, and Amari Miller, but were turned down by Tiffany Stratton. Instead, Wendy Choo will fight by their side.

– Riddle hitting an RKO on Marcel Barthel earned himself and MSK the victory over Imperium and WALTER>

– Joe Gacy and Harland have their sights set on the Dusty Cup and are prepared to earn their way into the tournament.

Mandy Rose arrived at New Year’s Evil via helicopter. She was then able to fend off Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez to successfully defend her NXT Women’s Championship.

– Elektra Lopez announced that Xyon Quinn and Santos Escobar will face off next week and she will be leaving with the winner.

– Von Wagner interrupted Andre Chase as he handed out his first scholarship. Wagner then snapped and attacked Chase and his student section in the crowd.

– In the main event, Bron Breakker defeated Tommaso Ciampa via submission to become the new NXT Champion. After the show went off the air, Tommaso went to the crowd and shook Rick Steiner’s hand. Steiner then went into the ring and celebrated with his son.
