Bron Breakker Would Like Rick And Scott Steiner To Be Part Of His Career At Some Point
Though he doesn’t have the Steiner last name on television, Bron Breakker’s family ties have been referenced on television.
Breakker is the son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner. Whether he’s been said to have a “dog-faced gremlin mentality” or the subject of math is brought up, references have been made to Breakker’s father and nephew on NXT TV.
Speaking to Andreas Hale of Sporting News, Breakker was asked if he’s thought of the possibility of sharing the ring with his family.
“I have,” he replied. “It would be great for both of them to be a part of my career at some point. Who knows? I have no idea. But it would be a cool moment for me because neither of them have seen me wrestle in person. They’ve watched it on TV. Maybe down the line, they can be part of something with me. I don’t know.”
Tommaso Ciampa previously revealed that Rick Steiner was scheduled to appear at NXT Halloween Havoc, but wasn’t able to make it.
Asked if he’s talked to his family about his opportunity in NXT 2.0, Breakker replied, “I have briefly here and there. They have high expectations for me, and I’ve always had high expectations for just being Rick Steiner’s son in all sports. I’ve always had that, so it’s really nothing new. I got to just go live up to the expectations and perform.”
Breakker is set to challenge Ciampa for the NXT Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil on Tuesday.
Fightful will have live coverage of the event beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
