Dan Henderson Says He’s Ready To Hang Up His Gloves, Talks Bisping Fight

Dan Henderson has long been rumored to retire, but he has an endgame in mind already.

Following UFC 200, UFC President Dana White announced that Dan Henderson would rematch UFC Middleweight Champion Dan Henderson in a rematch of their UFC 100 bout later this year. According to the former PRIDE Champion Henderson, he’s ready to hang up the gloves after the fight, regardless of outcome.

That is my plan, win or lose I’m ready mentally to retire. My body could still probably go another two, three years more. I’ve put it through enough. I’m ready to take it a little bit easier, but still be involved in MMA doing something a little bit different than fighting,” Henderson told Severe MMA.

Henderson told the outlet that he expects the fight to take place in the fall at UFC 204, and thinks it’ll take place in Manchester. Henderson has come up short in his two previous UFC title fights against Quinton Jackson and Anderson Silva.
