Adam Cole Says Bobby Fish Orchestrated The Kyle O’Reilly Surprise
Adam Cole says the ultimate group has been formed.
Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly spent the majority of this year feuding with one another on NXT television.
Adam’s final match in NXT was a two out of three falls match against Kyle at NXT TakeOver 36. Kyle would stay in NXT for a couple more months before departing after a cage match against Von Wagner on December 7. Just two days before, O’Reilly had told Wagner that the Undisputed ERA was a brotherhood.
Two weeks later, on December 22, Kyle O’Reilly was on AEW television helping Adam Cole defeat Orange Cassidy. Adam, who has been paired on-screen with Matt and Nick Jackson as well as Bobby Fish, had promised The Young Bucks a Christmas surprise.
Now, Adam has explained his surprise on the latest episode of Being The Elite.
Admitting to Matt and Nick Jackson that he was skeptical about Kyle O’Reilly because of their history, Adam says it was actually Bobby Fish who did the convincing when it came to Kyle O’Reilly helping out his former friend and rival.
Adam also promised Matt and Nick Jackson that now that Kyle is in AEW, the five of them can be the ultimate group.
“Can you believe it? You and myself, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, all standing together in the same ring. I knew you’re probably worried about this because I was too. You know, Bobby’s the one who set this up. Bobby was the one who convinced Kyle to come here. I know me and Kyle have a lot of things… a lot of things that we have to settle, but we’re so dangerous together as a trio and think about this, Now we are a supergroup because The Young Bucks are also involved. AEW doesn’t know what hit them, AEW is screwed because on top of how great we are, no one’s gonna be able to stop us. The ultimate group. So once again, Merry Christmas, guys. You’ve got to be elated. I know I am.’
