Drew McIntyre Hopes To Wrestle Cesaro: We’ve Never Had A Singles Match
Though Drew McIntyre and Cesaro have been in WWE together for years, the two have never battled in a singles bout.
They have squared off in multiple battle royals and a handful of tag team matches, but a one on one match has eluded them during their time in wrestling.
McIntyre hopes to change that in the near future.
“Oh yeah, [Cesaro] is definitely on my list,” McIntyre told Graham GSM Matthews of Bleacher Report. “I have to mention him any chance I get and the fact we haven’t faced each other considering we’ve been on the same rosters over the years. We’ve both wrestled 20 years apiece. We’ve never had a singles match, which is pretty unbelievable. I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter on my social media that he also brought it up this week, so I think it’s only a matter of time before that match happens.”
In a WWE exclusive, Cesaro took notice of McIntyre’s bout with Sheamus on the December 10 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Cesaro is currently feuding with Sheamus & Ridge Holland while McIntyre is locked up with Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss on WWE SmackDown.
