Lots Of Changes To The Last Two Episodes Of WWE Smackdown

Last week’s Smackdown saw the company tape two episodes, since Christmas Eve, but there was a lot changed on the show, at least as of the afternoon of the show and based on internal plans.

Originally Roman Reigns was set to open WWE Smackdown on December 17 with an in-ring promo, which was moved to the main event spot. Usos vs. New Day was slated internally to main event, and was adjusted.

Also planned for the December 17 Smackdown and changed was a Brock Lesnar sit-down interview, which didn’t happen whatsoever. The Shotzi & Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks & Toni Storm match that kicked off Smackdown was internally slated to main event the Christmas eve episode of the show. The Toni Storm vs. Charlotte Flair “Championship Contender’s” match announced for December 24 was actually planned for the December 17 Smackdown.

Again, these are all based on internal plans from Friday afternoon.
