R-Truth: The Hardcore Championship Doesn’t Have Shiznit On The 24/7 Championship

Since the introduction of the WWE 24/7 Title in May 2019, the belt has drawn comparisons to the Hardcore Championship, which operated under 24/7 rules.

R-Truth is the most decorated 24/7 Champion as a 53-time champion and is a former two-time Hardcore Champion, though both reigns ended within seconds.

Speaking on The Ryan Show, R-Truth compared the two belts and why one is better than the other.

“The Hardcore Title was so quick and abrupt. I don’t even remember who I beat, I think Raven beat me for it. Coming from me, the Hardcore Championship ain’t got shiznit on the 24/7 Championship. That title had an article by Forbes magazine. Google that. That championship was doing 20 million views per week. I don’t remember the Hardcore Championship doing none of that,” he said. “The 24/7 Championship brings celebrities and people from different walks of life together. It almost connects celebrities together because there are so many die hard, closet wrestling fans, you can live your dream with the 24/7 Championship.”

The early 24/7 Title videos uploaded to WWE YouTube would regularly crack over one million views.

Dana Brooke is the reigning WWE 24/7 Champion, but R-Truth promises to “get his baby back.”
