Insane Clown Posse Apologize For The Way They Left WWE

In 1998, WWE brought in Insane Clown Posse to perform the theme song for The Oddities.

ICP (Shaggy 2 Dope & Violent J) ended up becoming regulars for the Oddities, and thanks to their wrestling background, got involved in a feud with The Headbangers.

Their last appearance came in November where they were involved in a segment with Steve Austin. They walked out of company after because Vince McMahon reportedly didn’t air a commercial to promote them.

Speaking WWE After The Bell, ICP apologized for the way they handled things.

“The only thing I regret is walking out on WWE. The way we left was so lame,” said Violent J.

Shaggy added, “I’m not trying to get brownie points, but I would like to cordially apologize to everybody, not just Vince. Anybody who was involved in that night, production and everything, when walked out on them. We were supposed to go to the ring. Instead, we walked out the side door. We were following our manager’s orders pretty much. He was like, ‘This is some shit. Bounce.’ I’d like to apologize to anybody involved in that card that night.”

Violent J placed the blame on the manager, saying, “It was so cool having that run with WWE. For whatever reason, our manager at that time was like, ‘You guys need to bail.'”

Shaggy added that was no animosity on their part and they had a blast while Violent closed by saying they are indebted to WWE.

ICP would end up in WCW shortly after their run with WWE.
