Alex Oliveira Wants To Give Tim Means A Beat Down

Alex Oliveira will be facing Tim Means in a rematch at UFC Fight Night 106, after the duo collided the first time at UFC 207.

While their first fight ended in a no contest after an illegal strike, "Cowboy" Oliveira says things will go differently this time around.

“Not everyone understands how things played out in my last fight. People who know me understand that I am always willing to spill my blood to win in the octagon,” Oliveira told MMA Junkie. “I always fight to win. To the fans: Don’t miss our rematch. As soon as the bell rings, it’s going to be a beatdown.”

Means recently accused the Brazilian star of milking his injuries. Oliveira also expects that both he and Means will be entering the Octagon with different game plans.

“Without a doubt, his strategy has also changed. We’re sharpening things, too,” Oliveira said. “He’s extremely tough, has great stamina and very good elbows. But he’s just a man, and so am I. I prefer not to talk. I’d rather get down to fighting, so we can resolve our problems.”

UFC Fight Night 106 takes place on Saturday, March 11 from the Centro de Formacao Olimpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil with Kelvin Gastelum and Vitor Belfort headlining, the main card airs live on Fox Sports 1. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
