David Branch Returning At UFC 211
Former WSOF Middleweight Champion and former WSOF Light Heavyweight Champion David Branch will be returning to the UFC at UFC 211, where he will be facing Krzysztof Jotko.
Branch (20-3-0) went undefeated during a ten fight run in the World Series Of Fighting, with some notable wins coming over Dustin Jacoby, Paulo Filho, Jesse Taylor, Yushin Okami, Clifford Starks and Vinny Magalhaes. Branch earned a record of 2-2-0 during his first UFC run, with those wins coming over Tomasz Drwal and Rich Attonito. Branch also competed once in Bellator MMA, defeating Derrick Mehmen by submission at Bellator 15.
Jotko (19-1-0) has won six of seven fight under the UFC banner and he will be entering the fight on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Jotko has earned five of those six wins in the UFC by decision, the other win in the promotion came by knockout. Jotko will be competing on his first ever UFC pay-per-view card, despite being with the MMA organization for over three years.
UFC 211 takes place on Saturday, May 13 from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas with Stipe Miocic and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
