KISS Demon Recalls Nearly Choking On Gene Simmons’ Blood At IMPACT Bound For Glory

The Call Your Shot Gauntlet Battle Royal at IMPACT Bound For Glory had a handful of surprises, but none bigger than the KISS Demon.

Played by Dale Torborg, The KISS Demon first appeared in August 1999 on WCW television and would be referred to as The Demon once the deal with KISS fell through. He wrestled in WCW until March 2001 with his last television appearance coming in August 2000 when he lost to The Great Muta on WCW Thunder.

At IMPACT Bound For Glory, though he didn’t win, the KISS Demon made a lasting impression. Especially on Brian Myers’ gear.

“Thrill of a lifetime to be on pay-per-view with KISS Demon in 2021, I never thought it was going to happen. At some point in the match, I remember gripping my hand and it was so sticky and I saw it was that KISS Demon blood and I thought, ‘it’s way stickier than I ever imagined.’ We get to the back and I look down and my gear is just covered. It’s brand new gear, first time wearing it, we’re making an action figure of ourselves in this gear and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I hope this comes out,'” Myers said on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast

Torborg explained the mess on Myers’ gear.

“I felt bad. What happened is, that’s actually Gene’s blood that he uses. I was at the show in West Palm Beach maybe a week before we went to Vegas and Gene’s face tech gave me some of it because I said, ‘Hey, what does he use?’ ‘How much do you need?’ ‘Just a little bit.’ He gave me some of the stuff he uses. In the bottle, it looked really sticky, so when we’re standing there and getting ready to go, I put the whole thing upside down and it poured into my mouth. It almost choked me. If you watch the video, I was going to wait until I got down the ramp farther. It was choking me because I couldn’t breathe. I had so much in there and that’s why I let it out right away,” he said.

Matt Cardona noted that he got blood on his jacket from throwing it down on the ramp.

KISS Demon eliminated Johnny Swinger and was eliminated by Ace Austin in the battle royal.
