Jonathan Gresham Among First Names Announced For wXw 16 Carat Gold 2022 Tournament
The first three names have been announced for wXw’s 16 Carat Tournament.
wXw announced Jonathan Gresham, Ace Romero, and Fuminori Abe as the first three entrants in the wXw 16 Carat Tournament.
Gresham is the former ROH Pure Champion, Romero was recently released from his IMPACT Wrestling contract, and Abe is ZERO1 World & International Junior Heavyweight Champion.

The tournament is set to run from March 4 to March 6 in Oberhausen.
The wXw 16 Carat Gold tournament has been running every year since 2006, with the exception of 2021 due to COVID, when Baron von Hagen won the tournament. Since then, notable names such as Chris Hero (Kassius Ohno), WALTER, Shingo Takagi, Sami Zayn, Zack Sabre Jr., Ilja Dragunov and Malaki Black have gone on to win the entire tournament. The 2020 tournament was won by Cara Noir.
Fightful will have results from the tournament as it gets underway and more entrants when they are announced.
