Sami Callihan Provides An Update On His Ankle Injury

Sami Callihan discusses his leg injury.

Callihan suffered an ankle injury at the IMPACT tapings in September and underwent surgery. He will reportedly be out until Spring 2022. He was teaming with Eddie Edwards in a feud with Moose & Morrissey. IMPACT shot an angle where Moose & Morrissey were the ones who caused the injury.

Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Callihan provided an update on his injury.

“It was broken. I straight Sid Viscious’d myself, it snapped in half. It was gross,” he said.

When asked about his recovery, he said, “It’s going great. I’m like four weeks into recovery right now, finally got the stitches out from surgery and able to do a little bit of range of motion. Not going to be able to put any pressure on it for another four or five weeks and then I’ll start rehab. You can’t get rid of me that easy. Trust me, when I come back, there will be hell to pay and you’ll see an entirely new Death Machine.”

It is unknown when Callihan will officially return to action, but he said he’s going after Moose & Morrissey when he returns.

Moose is currently the IMPACT World Champion, cashing in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet Battle Royal trophy on Josh Alexander to close Bound For Glory. Callihan said revenge is more important than the title when it comes to Moose.
