Cesaro Reflects On Teaming With Tyson Kidd, Learning About Their Team Through Twitter

On the December 1, 2014 episode of WWE Raw, Cesaro and Tyson Kidd teamed for the first time ever in a WWE Tag Team Title #1 Contendership Tag Team Turmoil.

The two men would become a regular team and go on to win WWE Tag Team Championships, holding the belts for 63 days.

Speaking to Chris Denker on Into The Danger Zone, Cesaro reflected on his team with Tyson Kidd.

“It was literally the first match we had. We literally found out on Twitter that day we were going to be in a tag gauntlet and it was New Day’s first match,” said Cesaro when recalling how he learned of the pairing. “I could be wrong, but they were on Raw and then debuted on SmackDown and we wrestled them as well. A lot of New Day history. We found out we were going to be in this tag gauntlet on Raw and we didn’t really talk a lot before the match. In the match, it was just clicked immediately. We teamed for exactly six months to the day. That was it. Six months to the day. People don’t believe it. We had a bunch of incredible matches with New Day and Usos and everybody. It was a lot of fun and it just clicked. We were riding together, working out together, had the same Chipotle and Starbucks order. It was fantastic.”

Unfortunately, the pairing between Kidd and Cesaro was cut short as Kidd suffered a career ending injury on June 1, 2015.

Kidd now works as a producer in WWE while Cesaro remains active on WWE SmackDown.

Elsewhere during the interview, Cesaro discussed finding excitement within the WWE chaos. You can find his full comments by clicking here
