IMPACT World Title Changes Hands Twice In The Main Event Of Bound For Glory 2021
Christian Cage’s reign at the top of IMPACT Wrestling has come to an end.
After exercising Option C and relinquishing his X Division Championship, Josh Alexander booked his spot in the main event of Bound For Glory against Christian Cage. The AEW star won the belt on the debut episode of Rampage on August 13, defeating Kenny Omega after hitting a Killswitch onto a chair.
Cage and Alexander had a back and forth encounter that eventually ended with Alexander submitting Christian with an Ankle Lock. Alexander celebrated with his wife and child in the ring as Christian presented him with the title.

The joyous occasion was short-lived, however, as Moose appeared out of nowhere and cashed in his Call Your Shot contract that he won earlier in the night. Alexander moved his family out of the way and as soon as he turned around, he was hit with a spear. Moose pinned him to win the championship.
He stood over Alexander’s body and family as he hoisted the title high above his head.

This is Moose’s first reign as IMPACT World Champion. He has had a couple chances over the past year to capture the belt but fell short against the likes of Rich Swann and Kenny Omega.
