Kevin Kelly Says He’s Messaged NJPW World Team Regarding DMCA Strikes On Twitter
The NJPW G1 Climax 31 is nearing a conclusion and if you haven’t seen much buzz for the tournament on social media, there’s a reason for that.
NJPW has cracked down on users posting GIFs and media from the shows, hitting many fans with a DMCA strike, actively discouraging fans from posting media of the matches.
Many users have grown frustrated with the NJPW practice and with less media floating around on social media, less fans are talking about the events.
NJPW announcer Kevin Kelly says he’s messaged the NJPW World team regarding the strikes.
I just messaged the World team. I agree this policy is short-sighted and I’m sorry to anyone who had been hassled by it. You all aren’t profiting from this. Push and pull from content creators and fans has been going on too long.

It is unknown if NJPW will lighten their stance on fans posting GIFs and media from events.
