TAELER: Game Changer Wrestling Sets Sights On the West Coast

“Game Changer Wrestling is proud to announce the launch of “LA Fights,” a California based promotion intended to serve as a companion to GCW on the West Coast…” That’s right! Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) has made it official, they are starting a sister promotion that will makes its home on the West Coast. The GCW press release announced GVW’s intentions for launching their own new sister promotion based out of California and the promotion itself will be called “LA Fights” and is set to debut next month on November 28. The excitement surrounding this trending announcement was palatable and infectious in the best of ways. After all, new promotions in conjunction with experienced well-established ones provides new and mutually advantageous opportunities for both fans and talent alike.

Game Changer Wrestling has already relayed their mission for LA Fights as it will be similar to GCW’s Jersey Championship Wrestling brand on the East Coast, however, LA Fights will provide an all-new showcase. LA Fights will keep with the authentic vibe of the amazing hotbed of wrestling known to LA as it aims to highlight both the West Coast’s rising stars and SoCal Legends. They will compete and they will keep pumping the lifeblood of the Los Angeles Pro Wrestling scene that has seen a major comeback over the last eight years. LA Fights will essentially and quite smartly utilize the GCW Platform as LA Fights grows its own loyal fan base.

As stated by GCW promoter, Brett Lauderdale, “Los Angeles has become a second home for GCW…” And in my opinion rightly so. I couldn’t help but notice Lauderdale’s elation as he spoke on LA Fights and GCW. It’s amazing to see people love what they do and to be genuinely appreciative of the fans that build our successes in this industry. And, in my opinion, California has by far and away some of the most underappreciated talents that are hustling so hard waiting for their chance to shine. And the California fans are a whole new level of passionate and loyal. Not to mention the authentic Lucha Libre vibe that is alive and well in California, it’s unlike anywhere else outside of Mexico with Texas probably being the only other exception. The revival of Pro Wrestling in California over the last ten years has been an amazing transformation that has reignited the entire scene and independent companies like PWG, Lucha Patron, and Game Changer Wrestling have certainly noticed. And since then, each promotion has had consecutive sell out events over extended periods which adds to the overall experience for both fans and talent.

According to GCW reports, GCW alone has sold out all 3 of its events in LA since returning after an unforeseen hiatus due to the pandemic. Their next few events are no exception either. Their upcoming shows, Bloodsport on Oct 22nd and on October 23rd at the Ukrainian Cultural Center on Melrose are rumored to also be sell out events. With that said, a huge congratulations to Game Changer Wrestling on their latest ventures with their launch of LA Fights. May LA Fights be as successful as Game Changer Wrestling and may it open even more doors for the immensely talented Pro Wrestlers up and down the West Coast who are ready to go! Tune in live to LA Fights as it officially debuts on Sunday, November 28th at 3pm, it will be available live for everyone free of charge on the GCW Youtube Page.
