TAELER: NXT 2.0 Needs Ember Moon 2.0
With the new shakeups reverberating through the newly designed landscape of NXT 2.0 and it’s paradigm shift, I personally think this would be the ideal time to slowly begin a meaningful heel turn for WWE NXT Star, Ember Moon. NXT 2.0 is already getting edgier in its content and its own creative ingenuity as far as storylines, promos, vignettes, and the matches themselves. And I view this as an optimal time to evolve certain preexisting characters into new packages that will allow those NXT stars to continue to grow on the TV screens of the WWE Universe. The time is now – NXT 2.0!
At one point not too long ago Ember Moon was sitting in one of the most prominently featured positions as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside BFF Shotzi Blackheart. the storyline tied itself effortlessly with at that time, The Way’s Indi Hartwell and Candace LeRae, Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai the inaugural NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions and of course the current reigning and defending NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions heading into Halloween Havoc, the team of Zoey Stark and Io Shirai. After their hard loss, they began the upward climb seamlessly and effortlessly meshing with their counterparts as a cohesive unit and integral part of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Division. The long awaited return of Tegan Nox pumped those brakes so suddenly it seems that Ember Moon hasn’t necessarily gained a new prominent position…
As mentioned, the return of Tegan Nox was actually a great tie in from a long ongoing storyline in NXT which shows the incredible power of subtle details and the intricacies therein. Now one minute Shotzi and Ember were competing as a team out to reclaim what was theirs, and the next Shotzi was transitioned to the main rosters with Tegan Nox which left Ember Moon behind. This is not to say that Ember Moon can’t stand on her own, because in my opinion, she actually can and well too. My point being the sudden stop push of one of NXT’s most popular women’s tag teams left a gap that needs to be filled and a sort of NXT purgatory status for Ember Moon.
Now with NXT 2.0 getting more focus and new levels of edgy content this could be the perfect time to start planting seeds for a slow methodical heel turn for Ember Moon to pump new lifeblood into her gimmick and of course a great transition for the WWE Universe to get behind. All in all, I think now is the time for heel Ember Moon. New vignettes. New wording on her social media posts. New facial expressions and gear. Her talent is there. Her mic skills are there. It’s all there. Halloween Havoc on October 26th could be the perfect opportunity to start this transition. There’s a great spot for a heel turn resulting in Ember Moon 2.0 in NXT 2.0.
