UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns has took to Twitter to offer to step in and replace Luke Rockhold at UFC 268 to face Sean Strickland — this and much more on Wednesday’s social media roundup.
Gilbert Burns offers to fight Sean Strickland at UFC 268
Several days ago, former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold announced on his Instagram that he has been forced to pull out of his fight at UFC 268 against Sean Strickland.
Rockhold has suffered a herniated disc in his back which does not need surgery.
As of right now, it seems like the UFC will work towards finding Strickland a new opponent. One man who has put his name into the hat and offered to fight Strickland is Gilbert Burns.
Burns took to Twitter yesterday to offer hi services at UFC 268.

Of course Burns fights at 170 pounds, but Burns is very big and bulky for the weight class so would probably make a pretty good transition to 185 pounds.
Strickland has yet to respond to Burns’ call out.
