Two Title Fights Headlining Titan FC 44
This May’s Titan Fighting Championships 44 card will be headlined by a pair of title fights as Farkhad Sharipov defends the bantamweight title against Jose Torres and Gesias Cavalcante faces Kurt Holobaugh for the interim lightweight title.
Sharipov (17-7-0) will be making the first defense of his title, a title he won by defeating Andrew Whitney at Titan FC 42. Sharipov previously challenged for the Xtreme Fighting Championships Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Deivison Ribeiro at XFC 27.
Torres (4-0-0) will be looking to become a double champion in Titan FC, as he is the current Titan FC Flyweight Champion. Torres last defended his flyweight title at Titan FC 43, where he knocked out UFC veteran Pedro Nobre in the first round.
Cavalcante (21-9-1-2NC) is a former Titan FC Lightweight Champion, but he lost the gold to Freddy Assuncao at Titan FC 40. Cavalcante also fought four times in the World Series Of Fighting, with his biggest win coming over UFC veteran Tyson Griffin.
Holobaugh (16-4-0) is a former Titan FC Featherweight Champion, but would lose it on his first defense to Andre Harrison at Titan FC 34. Holobaugh will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak, which includes a win over UFC veteran Yosdenis Cedeno.
Titan Fighting Championships 44 takes place on Friday, May 19 from the Pembroke Pines City Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida with Farkhad Sharipov and Jose Torres headlining.
