Brie Bella Didn’t Want To Factor In To Bryan Danielson’s Decision To Join AEW
Brie Bella wanted Bryan Danielson to make his own decision about his career.
Bryan Danielson was just in the main event of WrestleMania 37 this year. Despite this, he appeared after the main event of AEW All Out to officially mark his debut in All Elite Wrestling.
Danielson has been very forthwith about enjoying his time with WWE and not having a negative perspective on his time there, even saying the decision to leave was a very hard decision to make.
During an appearance on the Sippin’ the Tea show with Ariane Andrew, Brie Bella spoke about her husband being very conflicted when making the decision on where he was going to perform during what will likely be his final run in wrestling and stated that she did not want to help him make the decision nor did she want the fact that she is so intrinsically tied to WWE for her own business ventures to play a factor in the decision.
Bella also used this time to say that she is unsure if she will ever make a comeback because currently, she is so focused on her children.
“I have to tell you, all summer long, he kept contemplating, kept going back and forth. He took the summer off and I just remember every other day, he honestly didn’t know where he was gonna end up, and then just finally, one day it spoke to him, he felt it. Because I was like, ‘I am not helping you make a decision. You’re 40 years old, this is probably going to be your last run. So you have to just let your heart tell you where to go.’ I’m like, ‘Just because I’m with WWE, doesn’t mean you have to be there,’ because I don’t know if I’ll make a comeback. To be honest, I told Nicole, maybe in a year or so. But like right now, my life — we’re so busy with our companies and the kids, like taking Birdie to school. That’s a whole thing in itself.”
Bryan Danielson echoed these statements when speaking about Brie Bella’s reaction to his decision in a recent interview with Dr. Chris Mueller of Bleacher Report.
“Brie’s great. She literally just wanted me to be happy,” Danielson said. “She was always like ‘Hey, whatever you decide, I want to 100 percent support you.’ So there was never any pressure from her being like ‘Hey, this might affect Total Bellas’ or anything like that. She never wants to even talk about that. She was like ‘I just want you to be happy.’ So I’m a very lucky man to have such a supportive wife.”
Elsewhere in the interview with Ariane, Nikki Bella confirms that she is unsure if she will ever wrestle again because, even though she may want her son to see her wrestle, doctors have put her on the retired bench. Learn more here.
