Effy Ends Matt Cardona’s Ten Plus Year Reign As Internet Champion
There is a new champion of the Internet.
At GCW Getlostalot, Effy defeated Matt Cardona to win the Internet Championship, ending Cardona’s historical reign. Had Cardona won, not only would he have retained his Internet Championship, but he would have been added to the GCW World Title bout between Nick Gage and Jon Moxley.
Moxley vs. Gage is set from October 9 at GCW Fight Club. Moxley defeated Cardona to win the GCW World Title at GCW The Art Of War Games.

Cardona first introduced the title in April 2011 on his YouTube show “Z! True Long Island Story.”
Cardona had been taunting Effy on social media, wondering if he was a real wrestler as he couldn’t find his matches on the Peacock Network.
Fightful will have results from GCW Getlostalot following the conclusion of the event.
