WWE United States Championship Match At Extreme Rules Changes, New Participant Added
Jeff Hardy is officially headed to Extreme Rules to try and become United States Champion once again.
After failing to defeat WWE United States Champion Damian Priest last week on Monday Night Raw, Jeff Hardy earned an opportunity to try and become WWE United States Champion Again by defeating Sheamus, the determined number one contender, on the September 20 episode of Monday Night Raw.
Jeff Hardy was able to get the win by countering the White Noise maneuver into a sunset flip and score the quick 3-count. After the match, Sheamus was perturbed by his defeat and began to brawl with Priest until referees came out to separate the two rivals.
