Josh Alexander Exercises Option C, Will Challenge For IMPACT World Title At Bound For Glory 2021
The IMPACT World Championship match at next month’s Bound For Glory event has been set.
On September 18, 2021, IMPACT Wrestling held its Victory Road event. Two of the marquee matches saw Josh Alexander defeating Chris Sabin to retain the X Division Championship and Christian Cage defeating Ace Austin to retain the IMPACT World Championship.
Following the main event, The Walking Weapon approached Christian and invoked “Option C.” What this means is that Josh Alexander will be relinquishing the X Division Championship for a shot at the World Title. It was soon after made official that the two Canadians will square off at Bound For Glory on October 23rd.

Alexander has been the X Division Champion since April’s Rebellion PPV, where he defeated Ace Austin and TJP in a triple threat match to win the belt. Across a few different promotions, he had successfully defended the title fourteen times. He now has a shot to win IMPACT’s top prize when he goes up against Christian, with whom he teamed just last week.
